Terry Shores is located just a few minutes north on Route 1 from highway 287 (College Avenue). Terry Shores was derived from its namesake reservoir as its striking feature. The Terry Shores Recreation Association  maintains the boat launch, beach, shelters, and recreational park with great family party facilities and game areas. There are two subdivisions built around Terry Shores. Terry Shores along the east side of the lake and Terry Point in the northwest corner. Homes in Terry Shores were built in the mid sixties to mid eighties and are in the 1700 to 4000 livable square foot range. Many of the homes have been updated due to the desirability of this neighborhood with its mature trees and landscaping. Terry Shores is minutes away from Downtown Fort Collins shopping and dining establishments as well as the new shopping center at the intersection of Willox and College Avenue. The Fort Collins Country Club is within a five minute drive as well. Terry Shores also has great access to Poudre Canyon recreational opportunities as well as Horsetooth Reservoir and Lory State Park. Schools are Tavelli Elementary, Cache La Poudre Middle School and Poudre High School.
